Located at the bottom of a spectacular vista of a steep mountain ridge, this guest suite peels back the layers of enclosure to retain only what is absoultely necessary to provide the desired sense of habitation and enclosure leaving the rest to nature.  An extended covering provides shelter from both the strong sun-and often-driving rain for an outdoor lounge with fire pit.  The bedroom opens almost completely onto lounge area blurring the line between indoors and out.  The black standing seam roof provides a thermal blanket for all internal spaces including a small bathroom tucked below the lower portion of the blanket.  The bathroom can be efficiently small as it opens on to an outdoor shower.
