A guest house for staff living and working on the property.  A strict 800 sf limit on enclosed space led to the concept of maximizing open screened porches between two enclosed masses that share a single roof.  This form works extremely well in the tropical environs of Kauai where stable temperatures and pleasant breezes make living an make blurring the boundary between inside and out an imperative.  While this house is legally 800sf, this form allows for 2,500 sf of indoor/outdoor living space.
